WELCOME TO BLUE JAY RIDGE |

| This "vertual" sign is the only one you will see, welcoming visitors to Blue Jay
Ridge. When the City of Clarence-Rockland put up their attractive "Welcome" signs to identify the various towns and sectors of our city, they overlooked the distinct and separate development of Blue Jay Ridge. The Canaan Connexion contacted the local councillor of the day who agreed that it was an oversight on their part, and immediately had the sign installed near the entrance of Blue Jay. Unfortunately, residents living near the sign objected to its presence so close to their properties and after a meeting with the mayor of the day, the sign was removed. Further attempts to have the sign placed on the west side of Canaan Road, near the intersection with Blue Jay Drive, failed. So now the only Welcome sign you will see is virtual. Enjoy...! |
